As you can see I have done a lot this semester to improve my "listening skills". I've watched a great number of movies and series. My favourite activity is listening to the BBC NEWS 24, because I really like the sound of British English, especially this one on BBC. On the other hand, it was becoming quite boring to listen to BBC all the time, so I decided to watch more movies and series than the last semester. Personally, I think it was a good decision, because through watching different movies and series (not only BBC, where the spoken English is simply perfect without any accent) I can hear many accents. It would be great if everybody spoke in "BBC accent", but the reality is just different so it is quite important to understand as many accents as you can.
Moreover, I decided to add new activity and started watching "BBC Learning English" and "Speak English With Misterduncan". I finally found these two activities very useful, because watching them I can improve my listeming skills as well as my vocabulary and grammar.

Reflection:
Well, I would be very happy if I were as good in speaking and writing as I am in listening, because listening is still the best part of my English skills.
I understand very well when listening BBC NEWS and also "Speak English with Misterduncan" because they pronunciation is perfect. On the other hand, I'm not able to understand everything, because my vocabulary is limited, but I must say that it is really better than it was last semester. During my study at university my vocabulary is getting better and better. Especially "Speak English with Misterduncan" is really convenient for improving my vocabulary, because when I don't understand a word I can stop the lesson and look up the word in my dictionary. There are also subtitles in each lesson so it is much easier to know what word I should look up.
The problem with listening is still the same - e.g. during a test, even if I understand almost everything I'm not able to keep all the information in my mind, so I don't exactly remember what was said at the very beginning of the article.
The next activity I like is watching movies. I must admit that I have to watch movies with English subtitles to understand the whole movie and sometimes even with Czech subtitles. The problem is, again, my vocabulary - sometimes there are movies deal with economy problems or there are many law terms. These ranges of vocabulary are not exactly my cup of tea. However, I know that I should try to watch the movies without subtitles, at least from time to time, because this is the point of my listening ability - to understand as much as possible without using subtitles.
I'm going to deal with the problem from the next semester - I really do :-).
