September,2014                                                                                                                                                                                                             (created on the 30th of September)

At the end of the month I was writing an informal letter as a homework to Practical language.

I like writing stories or poems in the Czech language and I found out that I am quite talented at it. That's why I don't have any problems to create an informal letter or a story. As for the letter, I had to learn some useful phrases and some other things but it wasn't difficult for me. There is no much to learn to write an informal letter. It's useful to write letters or stories mainly for my vocabulary. I have to find some words which I forgot or which I haven't known. I have a problem with writing, actually. I'm not very good at using commas but I think that it's only a matter of time and my learning.

There is one more thing about my writing letters or stories. We are supposed to use maximally 180 words to create a letter, and I don't feel very well about the limit because as I said before, I like writing, I like playing with words and this is the reason I have the problem.

October 2014

I think that my writing skills are getting better and better, because during the October I wrote something basically every day. At the end of the month I wrote a short story and I was able to create better sentences than previous month. I'm writing really every day - discussions on the facebook with my class mates, forums on Moodlinka, emails with my class mates, the skype conversation and mainly this portfolium is very useful for my writing. I feel that my writing skills are going to be really very good and also feel that to write is good for my vocabulary skills. Studying at the university, I'm able to recognise that every part of my skills is getting better. I can use more difficult sentences in the conversations and stories, more tenses I wasn't sure about before. I can say that my writing skills were about 10% previous month and now I thing that they are about 15-18%. It could seem that it's not very good progress, but in my opinion it's really good one. I have to realise that I have three or five years before me to improve my English skills, because my stupid perfectionalism tells me something about to know everything immediately.
