May 2016
After the 4th semester I am feeling like a very experienced writer because there were so many activities connected with writing that I almost got mad. I had to write response papers for subjects like "American history and literature" and "British literature". They weren't short response papers, they were pretty long ones. Moreover I had to write some forum contributions, a review and probably some more but I can't remeber all of them now but below, there all my contribution connected with writing.

Reflection and comparison with the 3rd semester
As mentioned above, there were a lot of writing activities this semester. I had to improve my writing skills even if I hadn't wanted to, because since the beginning of the semester I have written at least about 60 pages. Nowadays I feel more confident when I have to write something, it doesn't take me as much time as in the 3rd semester because my vocabulary is better and it is easier to create sentences. I am also better at grammar and that's why my sentences are more gramatically correct. On the other hand, I have problems when I have to write something formal because I like writing my own opinions and toy with words. In my opinion I am better at writing not only because the writing itself but also thanks to the reading activities - the books I had to read this semester.
I liked writing contribution for Practical language, especially the forum on Moodlinka was something I really enjoyed because many times I could use my own ideas and opinions in the forum. It would be probably easy to describe the contribution I enjoyed so I am going to concentrate on the contribution I had some difficulty to do it. It was the REVIEW.
As I said above, I do not like when I have to write something "formal" and keep some rules. That's not exactly my cup of tea so it was not easy to write a review. Fortunately, the topic was "review of a book" so I could find at least some positive aspects in it. I was considering two books. The first one was "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho and the second one "Life of PI". Finally I decided to write a review of "Life of PI". It was a good decision because I like the books where one can find a lot of interesting and inspirative ideas. I had some difficulties with the structure of the review so I had to study not only from the Student's book but also my friend google had to help me from time to time. The writing itself was not so difficult but the rules I had to follow were not easy for me. I can learn the rules and some formal sentences but still there is something inside of me that hates rules, not only when writing a formal article but also generally. I understand that it is neccessary to write these kinds of articles, that's not the problem I am talking about - the problem is my personality :-).
