Teaching culture

To be honest, my students are not very interested in the culture of other countries although I think it is a very important part of teaching. I can't blame them for this because I understand that they need to pass STANAG 1 where they do not need to know practically anything about the culture of English speaking countries. The only thing that they found interesting were the differences so I decided to concentrate mainly on it in my activities. Moreover, as my students are adults they are quite interested in sports so I created an activity that was dealiing with sports in some English speaking countries.

My students really liked the quiz, I had to translate some sentences for them and there were some words they had to write down into their exercise books, because I found these words important for them.
